The photographs from the series City Vibes by Christian Eggenberger mostly show photographic recordings of torn billboards. A stay in New York in 1995 firstly sparked Eggenberger’s interest in this visual theme. Over the years, the Swiss-born photographer explored and documented these subjects in many different cities with this camera. The resulting photographs border on collages and—in a wider sense—can be interpreted as detail-oriented street photography. Alongside these large-sized photographs, the exhibition shown by Galerie 94, presents black and white photographs which Eggenberger took during the Montreux Jazz Festival.
